Obituary of Madeleine Gilberte Charron

Madeleine Gilberte Charron (née Brisebois), 81, of Embrun, ON, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2023 after a brief illness at Ottawa General Hospital.

Madeleine lived a life devoted to her family. She is survived by her sons Marc, and Stéphane (Kim Chaplick), and granddaughters Alexandra, Audrey, Stephanie and Emma, as well as her twin sister Marthe Goulet and brother Jean-Pierre Brisebois.

Madeleine was a dedicated teacher in Gloucester for approximately 20 years and loved working with her students. She then worked for the Town of Gloucester, and the City of Ottawa as a civil servant as she loved dealing with people. In her younger years you could often find her dancing her Saturday nights away with her friends.

After having two sons, having four granddaughters was the best blessing possible.  She loved spending time with each of them, and always had grand-maman candies in her pocket for them.

A Celebration of Madeleine’s Life will be held at the Laurent Hill Funeral Home, 874 Notre Dame St., Embrun, ON K0A 1W0 on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 2-4 pm.

The Family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the friends and neighbors who provided assistance and showed kindness to her throughout the past few years.
